Liane Fainsinger: South African born jazz pianist and vocalist, Liane Fainsinger has been captivating audiences and peers alike. Her unique stylings and musical passion have carved a permanent place for herself in Toronto’s jazz scene. Recent performances with her trio include Yorkville Summer Music in the Park, Hirut Cafe, Relish Bar, as well as being featured at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, and the inaugural Belleville Jazz Festival. Her jazz combos have included music greats such as Don Thompson, Bill McBirnie, Howard Rees, Artie Roth, Peter Telford, Duncan Hopkins, Alexander Brown, Frank Botos and Richard Brisco to name a few. Though classically trained, Liane later discovered the teachings of bebop legend, Dr. Barry Harris, thanks to Howard Rees‘ introduction. This led to participating in many of Harris’ master classes in New York, Rome, Madrid, Toronto and Montreal. In addition, Liane religiously attended Rees’ jazz workshops and it has changed her life forever.

Justine Campbell: Justine Campbell began her career as a dancer, singer, and actress in television, film and stage, which led to tours in Europe, Japan, the Middle East, United States and Canada. Upon discovering Howard Rees and his Jazz Workshops, (Canada’s oldest Independent Jazz School); she set out to pursue the study and application of his technique for jazz vocalists. Justine has been performing with her jazz ensemble in various Toronto venues.
